As we get busy organizing Delight Summit, we’re excited to announce details on the date, location and format of this year’s event. Returning to Portland, Oregon, Delight is a unique gathering of leaders who are passionate about transforming business by bringing exceptional experiences to life. This year we’re making some changes to provide the most valuable experience possible. We know it’s not easy to escape from the office, so we want to make every minute count! Here’s what you need to know to start planning:

Delight Summit is different

The first difference you may notice is the name, Delight Summit. This reflects our shift this year to a smaller, more intimate experience that allows for deeper, more meaningful peer-to-peer connections.

One of the hallmarks of Delight—and something that won’t be changing—is the openness with which speakers from experience-driven brands like Zappos, Intuit, Virgin America and Mayo Clinic share their real-world challenges. As always, they’ll be providing a peek “under the hood” of the transformative change they’re leading, not just from the stage, but as active participants in the conference.

As Evelyn Huang, VP of Design Thinking and Strategy at Capital One, said in her 2016 keynote, “I’m pretty sure that most of you are here because you’re already interested in some kind of change. So whether that’s for yourself, for your community, or for your company, let’s all do this together.”

Catalyzing change

Working at the intersection of design, technology and business, the two-day event will foster a dynamic forum of customer-centric leaders. The main stage talks and small group discussions will explore how organizations are transforming their business, culture and customer relationships by creating experiences that people love.

Day 1 starts at the historic Sentinel Hotel with a casual lunch and afternoon of inspiring main stage talks, with speakers from organizations that embody Delight. Day 2 will focus on working sessions with leaders and peers in your field, including healthcare, financial services and B2B. Led by experts in each field, these sessions will give you the chance to go deep on the challenges you face, forge lasting connections, and go back to work energized with new perspectives and ideas to disrupt the status quo.
