Code of conduct

We want the Delight Conference to be a wonderful experience for everyone—an intimate forum for big ideas, interactive discussion, and creating experiences people love. In other words, we expect all participants to treat others the way they would want to be treated, and will do whatever is needed to provide a safe, fun environment. Though we don’t expect any trouble, this code of conduct helps us all understand what is delightful, appropriate behavior and how the conference team will support you.

Need help? We’ve got your back.

If you see or experience something that is not right, let us know right away. Just look for Delight staff with the red staff nametags and volunteers in green t-shirts. Or, if you prefer not to report your concerns in person, contact us directly at info@delight.us.

What is harassment?

We do not tolerate harassment of any conference participants in any form. This includes staff, volunteers, speakers, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and vendors.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

How will we respond? Quickly and with our best judgment.

If something happens that violates this code of conduct, Delight staff will be available to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist anyone experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We’ll work with all parties in good faith to ensure that harassment ceases immediately and do whatever we can to be sure you feel safe at all times during conference.

If harassing behavior does occur, Delight organizers may take any action we deem appropriate, including expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Creating experiences that people love

As hosts of an event that’s dedicated to creating great experiences, we take this stuff very seriously. That said, we know the Delight community is full of awesome people who share our values of respect, kindness and professionalism. And we look forward to sharing a few days of fun, learning and inspiration.
