About Matt Streng
Matt Streng brings more than 10 years of youth development experience to his current role as Mercy Corps’ Director of Youth Programs. He started with Mercy Corps in South Sudan in 2006 and has since been a member of the Technical Support Unit. From 2008-2010, he had a temporary assignment as Grassroot Soccer’s Director of Programs in South Africa. In addition to supporting Mercy Corps’ Youth in Emergencies and Sport for Change programs. Matt supports Mercy Corps’ ongoing focus on youth development and has been increasingly focused on adolescent programming, particularly adolescent girls in Nepal, child soldiers in Colombia, and Syrian refugees. Matt has a B.A. in International Relations from Dartmouth College and a Master in Public Health (MPH) from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
